Old Friends, Memories, and New Friends

Hello All,
A few weeks ago I took a drive up north and I had the opportunity to visit with some friends of mine. It really brought back fun memories. I always like to take a stroll down memory lane. Seeing familar faces and visiting favorite restuarants and seeing how things have changed and some remain the same. Here are some pictures from my visit....

This is a photo of my friend Becky of "Find Your Wings. She is an awesome artist. I just love her creations. Her home is filled with all of her wonderful creations. Her husband Marshall is a wonderful artist as well. He does amazing wood cravings. This is Becky in her studio. They gave me a few of their pieces that they designed for Blossom Bucket. I will post photos of those later.
Becky and her hubby Marshall. The talented wood craver. I can't wait to show you their pieces from Blossom bucket. Great stuff.

These are some photos I took of Becky's Studio. All the wood craving are Marshalls.

Me and a few artsy friends.

I also got to see my friend MaryBeth. I haven't seen her in about 3 years. It was really nice seeing her. She just had a baby too. Isn't she cute.

Hey, when you get a chance check out a new friend of mine Lillian Alberti her work is great.Such a talented lady. She is one of the artists on Glitter and Grunge. Her website is A-Lil-Whimsy. She creates dolls, boxes, murals and more. I love her Jester pieces which I think one was featured in Doll Readers magazine. Here are a few photos of her work. Visit her website at http://www.a-lil-whimsy.com/

The Middle Name Game

Okay, my friend Jennie decided to tag me for the Name Game. I am not that great at this sort of stuff but I will give it a try. Here are the rules: You have to post these rules before you give the facts. Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog post containing your own middle name game facts. At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

My middle name is Florence. Not too many people know my middle name. But the ones who do usual call me Flo for short. I don't like to talk much about myself so...this is what came to mind:

F - Friendly to everyone

L - Loving and caring wife, mother, and friend

O - optimistic about life

R - Religious person, giving the glory to GOD

E - Ever giving - I share and give to others

N - Nice

C - Cool - at least I think so : )

E - Enthusiastic and Energetic

Okay, I need to tag 8 people. Let me see who will it be:

Sylvia, Cathy, Carla, Suzanne, Deena, Missy, Jackie, Jenny

Have a Great Day!!

Happy 20th!!!

Hey, I finally made it to my 2oth post. Hooray!! Well things are still busy for me here in my studio. I am still working on my DEMDACO pieces. I hope to have them all completed by the end of this week. My wedding anniversary is tomorrow and my daughters birthday is on Friday so this is a jammed packed week. We also have friends whom are dear to the family visiting us from California today. I still have to make something for dinner. I don't know yet what to make but I will think of something.

Pfatt and AFA releases are quickly approaching. I have a sneek peek of my PFATT release. You will have to make sure you visit on August 10th to get the fullview. Time was limited so I will only have one piece to offer for AFA this month. But it is really nice I think. The theme is beach related. So be sure to stop over for that release.

Oh I haven't forgotten, here are some photos of some of the things that arrived to me in the mail and one of my recent shopping trips. The doll heads,I think I am going to just display them in my studio and the fabrics I a going to creating some aprons, and tote bags. I love unique bags and totes so I will give it a try.

I almost forgot. Friday, Sept. 7th from 5-8pm I will be at the Hi-Ho Halloween event at Folk Works Gallery in Evanston, IL. If you are in the area stop over and pay me a visit. I would love to meet you.
Another upcoming show I will be participating in is A Cottage Boutique in Pleasanton, CA on Sept. 22nd. Visit the visit for more information.

Well, back to work I go. I will talk to you again soon.

Smiles,

Elaine
